"I believe in the power of art to transform the mundane into living, breathing space - richer in positive energy and power." After a successful career as a political assistant to both federal and provincial ministers I decided to try something completely different. I took a course at the Art Gallery of Ontario and found my true passion was painting. I continue to find joy in painting - currently at the Toronto School of Art. Figurative work is central to my art. My visual pieces are a reflection of what is germane in my life and therefore revolve around the evolution of spirituality, the practice of yoga - and especially women and their diverse manifestations of beauty. I am fascinated by the interaction between the written word and visual images - much of my work examines the energy that occurs when poetry and art connect - art that moves. I also feel blessed to have worked extensively with children on large scale outdoor art projects. I am very thankful for these opportunities to help students enhance their playgrounds and drab public school hallways.
